Equal Time Point Matrix
The ETP generator is either in paper or electronic form. This program is in the final stages of production and should be on every flight deck.
This handy tool requires distance (or Latitude/Longitude) and True airspeed and it will calculate the time to continue or return from any airport in the world.
It gives the pilot the immediate ability to assess his equal time point situation if there is ever a change in routing or an unexpected requirement to his flight profile.
Oxygen Manager Program
The Oxygen Manager is a useful tool for both the OEM and flight operations.
This program was designed to help determine the requirements for an aircrafts oxygen system based on routes that the operator would normally fly.
Airport identifier codes are selected (or you have the option to insert Lat/Long.) the program then calculates the great circle distance between these airports.
Entries are then made for the following:
- Flight level
- True Airspeed
- Number of crew
- Crew oxygen flow rate at that altitude
- Number of passengers
- Passenger flow rate at that altitude
The program then will calculate the number of liters and the time remaining (duration) for flight at that altitude.
The OEM can now look at the operator’s flight requirement and select oxygen components that will provide an adequate oxygen supply for those stage lengths.
Oxygen Generator
The oxygen generator is another program that can be found in the ADS oxygen management tool box.
This program can be used in conjunction with the oxygen manager or can be used with an existing oxygen system. The necessary information that can be found in chapter 35 of the maintenance manual and only 10 data entries are required.
Once this information is loaded into the program, the result is a tabulated oxygen duration matrix for that altitude.
You simply need to know altitude, the bottle pressure, and how many passengers are using the system and it will provide time remaining. It also includes a manufacturer’s reduction of 200 psi as well as a reduction to be used to calculate an emergency descent using the oxygen system.
This is a must for any flight.
Tankering Generator
The Tankering Generator is a new program under development and is expected to be available by early summer.
Airlines will tanker fuel when the price of fuel at the destination airport exceeds a certain fuel cost at the airport of origin. The fuel price often makes it attractive to tanker, or bring fuel along, when purchased at a less expensive price than it would be to pay a higher cost at the destination airport. This practice is efficient up to a certain amount of fuel weight, until the tankering and performance penalty exceed the cost differential. Our tankering program analyzes these variables and provides the user with the correct amount of fuel to upload and still remain cost effective.
There are many programs that use an assortment of variables to calculate a tankering solution, however Aeronautical Data Systems uses data that provides a simple and accurate answer.
The Tankering Generator allows the user to select variables that are aircraft and route specific. The calculation considers the price of fuel at the departing airport, the price of fuel at the destination airport and then evaluates the tankering penalty for that particular aircraft. The program also includes a performance penalty based on how much fuel can be added and the impact that that additional weight has on aircraft altitude/performance capability. The program allows the user to input a fuel biased for each individual aircraft.
If your operation conducts multiple daily flights using different aircraft on the same route the Tankering Generator is a great tool. When used, the savings pay for the cost of the program in a short period of time. The Tankering Generator is just one of the many fuel savings tools that Aeronautical Data Systems offers to their customers.
Industrial, Commercial & Personal Use
This concept as we have mentioned is not limited to the aviation community and its applications are far reaching. As a matter of fact this concept will apply to any compressed gas. Below are just a few additional applications for this design:
- Gas Grills
- Scuba Diving
- Welding
- Home Heat Using Propane or LP
- Recreational Vehicles
- Fire Fighters Air Pack
- Hospital Oxygen
- Portable Medical Oxygen Bottles
- CO-2 Bottles For Carbonation
The uses for this technology are many and the savings that the user will receive will ultimately pay for the purchase of this product.
Each application can be tailored to your company’s requirement.
If you have an application for this gauge and it is not listed or you simply would like more information please contact our office.
