Company Background

Aeronautical Data Systems (ADS) is a software development company, which provides software for the aviation industry. This company was founded by, William L. Mack and James R. Stabile in the late 1980’s.

The foundation of this program computes the volume/pressure/quantity of any bottled/compressed gas and calculates duration, (time remaining) based upon consumption.

This application is of great importance to pilots as the majority of calculations are based on time remaining. Having this information available makes the pilot’s job more efficient. They are better equipped to utilize precious minutes during an oxygen contingency.

It is this concept that we would like to introduce to the general population. Technology today allows us to be more efficient in what we do. For example, up to now, bottle pressure (psi) is a meaningless number. It simply indicates the quantity remaining, it does not indicate the duration (time remaining). It has no immediate impact on what you are doing.

Let’s look at the propane tank on a gas grill. You are cooking at a picnic and have both burners on high. Using the ADS concept you determine that there is one hour of propane (cooking time) available but the picnic doesn’t end for two more hours. If you turn one burner off you now can see that you have doubled the duration and now have two hours remaining. This allows you the capability to conserve on the existing resources and at the same time become more efficient, a key word in today’s world.

This past year we decided to launch this concept to other markets and we decided the best way to start was in, what we call a non-critical environment. We feel the propane/LP gas grill market was a good place to start. We hope you will agree as well.

This is a tag along concept on an already existing product. As you read this I am sure that you will think of other applications that this program can apply to. We feel this technology has merit in our workplace and we see significant energy efficiency by using this type of program.

ADS holds several patents on hardware that will be forthcoming as this concept takes hold in the market place. You will be hearing more about this program in the coming months.
